Hershey Bar Cake

This recipe was given to me by a friend who bakes the world's most incredible cakes.
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 5.5oz cans hershey's syrup
2 1/2 cups cake flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
7 plain hershey bars-melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 x 2 baking pan. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl,cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time,beating well after each addition.
5. Stir in chocolate syrup and vanilla.
6. Sift together flour,salt,baking powder,and soda.
7. Add to butter mixture alternating with buttermilk.
8. Stir in melted chocolate bars.
9. Pour batter into prepared pan.
10. Bake for 45 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
11. Cool completely and frost with the frosting of your choice.
