Would serve well with a nice salad or just to snack.
Ingredients:
8 slices of thinly sliced white bread
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 shallots,sliced very thinly
1 teas. basil
1 teas. thyme (or other favorite dried herb)
Directions:
1. Cut each slice of bread diagonally into 4 pieces,triangle,shape
2. Do not remove crust.
3. Melt butter in a skillet,Saute shallot slices gently in butter.
4. Dip each piece of bread in the mixture,coat both sides
5. Sprinkle half of the pieces with the basil,and half with thyme
6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown
7. Cool on wire racks,so as to remain crisp.
8. Enjoy
