This is a base for any kind of cream soup and is easily converted to vegan. Source; Healthy Cooking With Cindy
Ingredients:
1 cup nonfat dried milk powder or powdered soy milk
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
2 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients and store in an airtight container
2. Soup
3. 2 cups cold water
4. 1/2 cup main ingredient (mushrooms, mixed vegetables, cubed chicken, etc.)
5. Add the water to the mix in a large saucepan and stir constantly over medium heat until thick. Add the main ingredient of your choice and cook until done. If the soup is too thick, add more water and stir thoroughly over medium heat. Add other seasoning of your choice.
