traditional peanut butter cookies with heart healthy peanut butter and old fashion rolled oats. no butter or oil added and use of egg white...makes a low fat..cakey nostalgic cookie! (Exactly the same as /hearty-peanut-butter-chocolate-chip-recipe-r119094 but with no-calorie splenda. Also cleaned up instructions.)
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 egg whites
1/2 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup no calorie splenda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup applesauce
1 tbsp vanilla flavoring
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. mix together flour and oats in separate bowl.
2. mix together peanut butter, eggs, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, applesauce and vanilla.
3. add dry ingredients to wet mix one cup at a time.
4. blend on speed 4 until well incorporated, then turn to stir and add chocolate chips
5. bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes on middle rack. remove from oven and place on cooling rack, refrigerate after one day.
