Heart Healthy Strawberry Banana Shake

If you’re like me and love milkshakes but have had a heart attack and must follow a low fat heart healthy diet, you do not have to be denied any longer. Here is a shake that’s tasty and satisfying, but is also low fat, low calorie and has loads of potassium to help flush cholesterol from your body. Yummy (remember to watch your calories, fat free does not mean calorie free.)
Ingredients:
6 ounces non-fat strawberry yogurt (dannon light & fit)
1 banana (over ripened)
4 ice cubes
2 ounces skim milk
Directions:
1. In a blender add 4 Ice cubes and crush using fastest speed available (if you do not have a blender capable of crushing Ice, place cubes in a plastic bag and pre crush with a meat mallet or bottom of a pan first).
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Pour into 12 oz glass.
5. Garnish with Fresh or Thawed Frozen Strawberries (optional).
