Healthy Wholemeal Banana Date Scones

Healthy fruity scones. NO BUTTER! NO ADDED SUGAR! THATS how us unicorns like em. Great for snacking, straight from the oven, if you dont eat them all straight away, freeze them for best results later.
Ingredients:
2 cups wholemeal plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarb soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp mixed spice
1 cup dried dates, finely chopped
1 tsp grated lemon rind
1 small ripe banana, mashed
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 250 C
2. Combine dry ingridents in a large bowl.
3. Mix in dates and lemon rind.
4. In a small bowl, combine the banana, milk and lemon juice, then add to the flour mixture.
5. Mix together and knead lightly. Roll it out and cut into whatever shapes you want and place on a lightly floured baking tray.
6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
7. Best eaten warm, straight from the oven.
