Lower the fat & calories without lowering the flavor.
Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients (through nutmeg) in large bowl. Combine wet ingredients (through vanilla) in medium bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry; if too wet, add pinch of flour. If not binding well, add egg white. Stir in raisins & nuts. Cool 20 min in fridge.
2. Drop by teaspoons onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press down with fork.
3. Bake at 335 for 15-20 min or until bottoms are golden.
