Healthy Bran Muffins

My mom used to make these for me all of the time when I was younger and then when I went away to college she used to ship them to me! I think they originally came out of a Good Food cookbook but she modified them a bit. They're so easy and only really take about 15 minutes of prep time - you just have to let them sit for an hour.
Ingredients:
3 cups all-bran cereal
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup raisins
1 cup boiling water
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine cereal, oil, and raisins. Pour boiling water over mix and put aside.
2. In a small bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, and molasses. Add to cereal mixture.
3. In another small bowl, combine sugar, baking soda, and salt. Then add flour. Add flour mixture to cereal mixture, stirring just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
4. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand on counter for 1 hour.
5. Grease a muffin pan Fill each hole 3/4.
6. Bake at 400 degree for 20-25 minutes.
