Hazelnut Muesli Bar Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of dry cooking oats
200 g dried fruit
1/2 cup of chopped hazelnuts
1/2 cup honey (or golden syrup)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions:
1. In a bowl, place the cooking oats, dried fruit and chopped hazelnuts. Mix well together.
2. Pour the honey into a saucepan. Add the vegetable oil, peanut butter and vanilla essence. Gently bring to the boil.
3. Pour the heated honey mixture into the oat, fruit and nut mixture. Stir well together.
4. Place the mixture in a baking tray lined with foil and pat it down so it forms big muesli bar.
5. Cook in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes, or until the top has a nicely golden brown colour.
6. Take the tray out and let it cool. Once it has cooled, place the large muesli slice in the fridge for approximately an hour to let it set.
7. Once the large muesli slab has set, take a sharp knife and slice it into the required muesli bar slices.
