Hawaiian Meatballs

Ingredients:
1 1/4 lbs ground beef
2/3 cup cracker crumb
1/3 cup onion (chopped)
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon shortening
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup brown sugar
23 ounces chunk pineapple (reserve liquid)
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/3 cup green pepper (chopped)
Directions:
1. Mix first 7 ingredients together, make mini meatballs. Melt shortening in fry pan & fry small meat balls. Pour fat from skillet & set aside meatballs. In small bowl, Mix cornstarch& sugar, stir in pineapple syrup, vinegar,& soy sauce, until smooth.Pour into skillet & cook until thickened. Add meatballs, pineapple & peppers. Heat through. Serve on rice or alone as an appetizer.
