Pineapples on a sandwich? You bet! This tasty combination is as refreshing as a tropical breeze.
Ingredients:
4 slices pepperidge farmĀ® whole grain 100% whole wheat bread
1/4 cup shredded 2% milk colby jack cheese
2 leaves romaine lettuce
4 thin slices low sodium deli ham
4 thin slices fresh pineapple or drained canned pineapple slices in juice
2 red onion slices
1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard
Directions:
1. Toast the bread slices. Top each hot bread slice with 1 tablespoon cheese.
2. Divide the lettuce, ham, pineapple and onion between 2 bread slices. Top each with 1/4 teaspoon mustard and the remaining bread slices.
