This was given to me by a friend a long time ago, The first time I made it, everyone raved. It is a little time consuming at first but after I made it a few times, it comes easy to me now. This is what everyone requests me to bring to every party and BBQ. This can also be made with wings or tenders, but I am posting the recipe as written. I like it with tenders best. I make this as an appetizer so I am quessing at the serving size.
Ingredients:
3 lbs chicken wings
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 eggs (beaten)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon accent seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
oil (for frying)
Directions:
1. Mix garlic salt, flour and cornstarch.
2. Drege chicken in flour mixture then dip in egg.
3. Fry until done.
4. In a saucepan, mix sugar, chicken stock, ketchup, soy sauce, accent and salt. Bring to a boil. Let boil a few minutes.
5. Place chicken on a cookie sheet, pour sauce over chicken and cook 35-45 minutes at 350.
