Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Fruity tropical flavored quick bread.
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients, stir in pecans.
2. Combine remaining ingredients: add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
3. Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 81/2 - x 41/2 - x 3-inch loaf pans.
4. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour 10 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
5. Cool in pans 10 minutes, remove from pans, and let cool on wire racks.
6. Yield: 2 loaves
