So good! It's a long time favorite. A must when the weather turns cold. We serve this with a big slice of pumpernickle bread.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 cups chopped onions
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup diced carrot
1 tablespoon minced garlic
3 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons flour
Directions:
1. In lg soup pot, brown beef; add next 4 ingredients.
2. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
3. Add broth, boullion cubes, and tomatoes.
4. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
5. Add italian seasoning, worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce.
6. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
7. In small sauce pan, heat butter, add flour.
8. Cook and stir on med until mixture is beginning to brown.
9. Carefully mix into soup.
10. Cover and simmer for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
