This is the recipe as I remember my mum making it when I was wee. They were one of my favorite meals and I feel great that my girlfriend is rediscovering meat so I can let her taste my childhood.
Ingredients:
1 lb minced beef
2 onions, chopped
50 g breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons applesauce
seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
100 g salad leaves
3 crusty bread rolls
400 g sweetcorn
3 bell peppers
Directions:
1. Throw all the ingredients into a bowl and mix up.
2. Shape into little balls (Like a golf ball).
3. Fry in a little butter until cooked.
4. Serve with salad, bread, peppers and sweetcorn.
