I was looking in the paper today…what? Yes I can read, thank you very much! They had an article about BNSF taking a locomotive around to various towns to educate people that they should stop for trains. A couple of days ago they had a pedestrian hit by a train. Read more . The TV news showed rescue workers searching a very long stretch of the tracks. Now to me if someone has not figured out by now that a 240 ton (480,000lb) locomotive will win in a collision and they don’t exactly stop on a dime. Then it is a bit late. Just how are you going to educate someone like that? As far as pedestrian vs. train? Larry the Cable Guy even has the answer to that one. Just step aside It is not like the darned things can swerve to get you! Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel has a whistle attached.
Ingredients:
crust
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup onion - chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1lb ground beef
1/4 cup green pepper - chopped
1/8 tsp oregano
filling
1 1/3 cup pre cooked rice
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz tomato sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Crust
2. Combine all ingredients; mix well. Pat mixture into a 9 inch pie pan in the shape of a pie crust, flute edges.
3. Filling
4. Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of cheese.
5. spoon mixture into meat shell
6. cover with foil and bake at 350 for 25 minutes
7. remove cover; sprinkle with remaining cheese, bake 10-15 minutes longer
