A family favorite. Hope it is for yours ! Excellent for using left over Ham. Ingredients:
2 beaten eggs |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup finely chopped saltine |
1/2 cup finely chopped onion |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/8 teaspoon pepper (i like a little more) |
1 lb fully cooked ground ham |
1 lb ground pork |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. combine eggs, milk, saltines, onion and 1/2 tsp dry mustard, and pepper. 2. Add ham and pork. 3. Mix well. 4. Shape into loaf and place in a 13x9x2 baking pan. 5. Bake at 350 for 1 hours 6. For Glaze: combine Brown sugar, vinegar, and 1/2 tsp dry mustard. 7. Spoon glaze over loaf. 8. Bake additional 20 minutes, basting with glaze. |
