This is a very forgiving recipe, great for getting rid of some of that left over halloween candy. You can substitute out some of the candy for other kinds.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened (or margarine)
1 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup yogurt-covered raisins
1/2 cup chocolate-covered peanuts
1/2 cup reese's pieces
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt into bowl and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on medium, cream butter, brown sugar and sugar.
4. With the mixer on low, beat in egg and vanilla.
5. Beat in flour mixture a little at a time until a soft dough forms.
6. Combine rasins, peanuts and reese's in a medium bowl.
7. Gently fold in half of the candy mixture, being careful not to break up the candy pieces.
8. Drop onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2 apart by heaping teaspoons.
9. Sprinkle the tops of the dough balls with the remaining candy mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
10. Bake cookies until lightly golden, 10-12 minutes.
11. Cool completely on wire racks.
