Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
6 large crabs
1 lb large shrimp
1 (1 lb) package hot link sausage
2 cups cooked okra
water, to cover
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons shortening
2 cups long grain rice
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. In a large pot, mix 3 Tblsp. flour with 2 Tblsp. shortening. Brown until golden. Add onion, celery, okra and water; let cook for 1 hour. Add all other ingredients and let cook for another hour. Add salt and pepper to taste and let cook for another 15 minutes. Turn heat off. In a separate pot, cook 2 cups of long grain rice to serve with gumbo.
