GUARDIAN ANGEL TORTE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boyd Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1987.
Ingredients:
1 package chocolate pudding mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 angel food cake
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
shaved chocolate
Directions:
1. Combine pudding mix and milk then cook until mixture boils.
2. Cool slightly then stir in sour cream.
3. Chill thoroughly then split cake into 3 layers.
4. Spread chocolate mixture between layers.
5. Cover top and sides of cake with whipped cream sweetened with confectioners sugar.
6. Garnish with shaved chocolate.
