Ingredients:
3 potatoes, peeled and sliced
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 onion, sliced
1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 quart canned tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbs brown sugar
Directions:
1. Layer the ingredients as listed, ending with salt and pepper. If desired, sprinkle with brown sugar.
2. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
