Plain grits with salt and pepper are the perfect accompaniment to eggs and bacon. This very simple recipe is a great base for any flavors like garlic and cheese, or eat as is.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup grits
Directions:
1. Bring water, milk and salt to a boil.
2. Add the grits and stir.
3. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Grated cheddar cheese and/or garlic may be added at the end of cooking.
