Grilled Turkey Breast marinated in a spicey mustard sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 lb turkey, breast, cutlets, raw (4 pieces)
Directions:
1. Combine the cider vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, black pepper, and garlic powder in a medium bowl, then slowly whisk in the olive oil to make a thin paste.
2. Thoroughly rinse the turkey cutlets and then dry them on paper towels. To ensure a uniform thickness of the turkey, put them between sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to flatten, if necessary.
3. Pour the paste into a heavy-duty, resealable platic bag. Add the turkey cutlets then move them around inside the bag to coat all sides. Seal the bag, carefully squeezing as much of the air out as possible.
4. Refrigerate and allow the turkey to marinade for at least an hour, or as long as overnight.
5. When ready to cook, place a nonstick, hard anodized stovetop grill pan over high heat. After the pan is well heated, add the cutlets and lower the head to medium-high.
6. Cook for 3 minutes on each side, or until the juices run clean, turning in between.
7. Additional Information
8. If using an outdoor grill or a grill such as the George Foreman Grill that cooks both sides at once, allow only 4-5 minutes total cooking time.
