Grilled Southwest Shrimp on Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2/3 cup picante sauce
  • 3 tbsp of firmly packed brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Rinse, drain, and peel the shrimp.
  2. Put shrimp on skewers.
  3. Mix ketchup, picante sauce, sugar and lemon juice.
  4. Brush the sauce on the shrimp, reserving some to serve with the shrimp.
  5. Grill shrimp 5-8 minutes or until done, basting occasionally with the sauce.
  6. Heat and serve the remaining sauce on side.
  7. I like to serve this over a bed of rice.
