Grilled Indian Meatballs

These grilled meatballs have an authentic Indian flavor. You can use beef or lamb, or whatever meat you prefer. from on Indian grilling
Ingredients:
1 medium size onion
2 small green chilies
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 pound ground beef or lamb
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 cup bread crumbs
salt
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
Directions:
1. Preparation: tinme soes not include 2 hours sitting
2. Chop onion, chilies, and ginger finely.
3. Mix all ingredients except butter together in a bowl.
4. Let sit for two hours.
5. Preheat grill. Form mixture into balls.
6. Place on skewers and coat with butter.
7. Grill until cooked.
8. For a variation place fresh vegetables on skewers with meat balls.
9. Remember to precook longer cooking items.
