A delicious green smoothie packed with vitamins. I often drink in place of coffee as a pick-me-up to get through the day. I usually freeze my fruits beforehand, but feel free to use fresh, add ice cubes if desired. This makes 2 really large servings.
Ingredients:
2 ounces kale
3 ounces spinach
2 medium bananas (frozen, if desired)
1 medium bartlett pear
1/2 cup almond milk (i use almond breeze original)
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
water, enough to reach desired consistency
ice cube (optional)
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients in food processor or blender, I usually use my immersion blender. Add water to thin the smoothie or ice cubes to make the smoothie thicker.
2. Other types of milk may be used in place of Almond. However, this will effect the nutritional values and may effect the consistency.
