Delishous. Adapted from The Southern Heritage Company's Coming! Cookbook - 1983.
Ingredients:
1 c water
4 c shelled fresh green peas (i use green giant/birdseye frozen small peas
1 head lettuce, shredded
1 parsley sprig
4 green onions, sliced
1/4 c butter or margarine
1 t heavy cream
1 t sugar
3/4 t salt
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan; add peas, lettuce, parsley, onions, and butter.
2. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and cook 30 minutes or until tender.
3. Remove parsley.
4. Stir in heavy cream, sugar, and salt; cook 1 minute.
