Green Onion Sausage with Cherry-Mustard Dipping Sauce (Emeril Lagasse)

Ingredients:
1/2 pound green onion sausages, or other fresh sausages
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup cherry marmalade or preserves
1/4 cup dijon mustard
1/2 pound fresh triple cream cheese
toasted baguette slices
Directions:
1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or preheat broiler. Grill sausages until just cooked through, turning occasionally, about 12 minutes (or until cooked through, 170 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer.)
2. Meanwhile melt butter in a small saucepan. Add the cherry marmalade and Dijon mustard and stir to combine. Simmer until mixture comes together, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and serve warm or at room temperature with the sausage.
3. To serve, slice sausage into bite-size pieces and serve on a platter with sauce, cheese and toast.
