Delicious hummus recipe. Tastes better and costs less than store brand, in my opinion. :).
Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 garlic clove
2 tablespoons tahini (middle eastern sesame paste)
1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
6 basil leaves
1 medium scallion, chopped
1 tablespoon dill, chopped, fresh
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
1. Place ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
2. Serve with dippers such as carrot sticks, sliced cucumber, whole wheat pita chips, flat breads, to name just a few. Garnish with parsley and/or dill.
3. May refrigerate up to 2 days.
