This is a very old recipe, about 100 years. The combination of garlic and grapes sounds strange, I know, but try it. It's absolutely fabulous. Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese |
1 tablespoon mayonnaise |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 dash cayenne pepper |
1 1/2 dashes garlic powder (or rub bowl well with garlic clove) |
2 -3 cups green grapes, halved |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients and mix until smooth. 2. Gently fold in grapes and nuts. 3. Chill thouroughly, about 2 hours. 4. Serve as a salad on lettuce leaves. |
