Green Beans with Ham Hock |

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans |
1 small ham hock |
1 cup water |
1 3/4 cups peeled, seeded, and coarsely chopped tomato |
1/3 cup canned ready-to-serve chicken broth |
1/3 cup chablis or other dry white wine |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1 teaspoon dried whole thyme |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash beans; trim ends, and remove strings. Combine beans, ham hock, and water in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in tomato and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes or until beans are tender. |
