Green Beans with Ham Hock

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans
1 small ham hock
1 cup water
1 3/4 cups peeled, seeded, and coarsely chopped tomato
1/3 cup canned ready-to-serve chicken broth
1/3 cup chablis or other dry white wine
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried whole thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Wash beans; trim ends, and remove strings. Combine beans, ham hock, and water in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in tomato and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes or until beans are tender.
