Green Bean And Mushroom Casserole

This can be made ahead and frozen. Nice with poultry, serves a crowd.
Ingredients:
1 1kg. pkg frozen french style green beans
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/3 to 1/2 cup butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 roasted red pepper, chopped (fresh or canned)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cups cheddar cheese
dash worcestershire sauce
dash tobasco
freshly ground pepper to taste
3/4 slivered almonds, toasted
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
Directions:
1. Cook beans for 5 minutes, drain and set aside
2. Saute mushrooms, onions in butter until tender.
3. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except 1 cup cheese and almonds.
4. Pour into a greased 9 x13 dish.
5. Top with almonds and cheese and bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
