This came from a potluck at work. Everyone enjoyed it and the ingredients are those I usually have on hand. When you don't feel like running to the grocery store, pull out this basic recipe and embellish it to suit your own tastes.
Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger
1 lb pork sausage
1 can mushroom (or use fresh)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 lb cooked spaghetti
1 (28 ounce) jar prego pasta sauce (you may substitute your favorite brand)
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup red wine
Directions:
1. Brown hamburger and sausage.
2. Drain.
3. Add mushrooms and mushroom soup.
4. Layer in crockpot in the following order: 1/3 of the cooked spaghetti, 1/3 of the meat sauce, 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce, 1/3 of the cheese.
5. Repeat the above ingredients to make two more layers.
6. Pour 1/2 cup of red wine over the top.
7. Cook in crock pot 1 hour and 45 minutes.
