Greek Sour Cream Cake

Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups water
1 lemon wedge
Directions:
1. Prepare syrup: boil syrup ingredients 10 minutes and let cool.
2. Cake: melt butter and cool.
3. Then cream with sugar and eggs.
4. Add mixed flour( baking powder,soda) alternately with milk and sour cream to the batter.
5. Stir in vanilla.
6. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
7. Bake in a 350F oven about 35 minutes or until tested done. POUR COOLED SYRUP OVER HOT CAKE.
8. Let cake cool completely before cutting.
