Greek Macaroni Bake

Don't let the the word Greek in macaroni bake scare you. This dish is awesome. My mother (God rest her soul) used to make this dish for me and my brother all the time. Just gotta try it!
Ingredients:
3/4 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
6 ounces tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
16 ounces elbow macaroni
Directions:
1. Brown beef and onions. Drain fat. Stir in next 3 ingredients. Set aside.
2. In med. saucepan, combine next 2 ingredients. Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir over med. heat until mixture thickens (DO NOT BOIL).
3. Beat next 3 ingredients. Gradually stir in sauce. Add macaroni. Spoon 1/2 macaroni mixture into 2-quart casserole dish. Cover with meat mixture and top with remaining macaroni.
4. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
