My Grandmother always made this when I was little. Not sure why, but it sure is good and easy to make.
Ingredients:
2 (15 ounce) cans peas
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups 2% low-fat milk
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan.
2. Whisk in flour. Cook for 1 minute.
3. Add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
4. Stir in peas. Cook until warmed through.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
