Maple Brown Sugar Flavored Granola Cereal. Very yummy with cold or warm milk. We recieved this from some one in the mennonite community. What is great is you can customize this recipe with nuts, raisins, cranberries, chocolate chips, M&M's etc.. what ever you may want.
Ingredients:
1 1/8 cups brown sugar
7 1/2 cups quick oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/8 cups oil
1/2 cup water
1/16 cup water
3/4 tablespoon vanilla
3/4 tablespoon maple flavoring
Directions:
1. Mix the brown sugar, quick oats, salt together.
2. Add Oil and stir.
3. In a seperate bowl mix the all the water, vanilla and maple flavoring together and add to mixture and stir well.
4. Put granola in a 9x13 baking dish.
5. Bake for 1 to 1.5 hours at 350 degrees.
6. Stir every 10-15 minutes and toward the end stire every 7-10 minutes.
7. Granola will brown as baked but becareful to not let it get to brown. If it overly browns it will be bitter tasting and it should be sweet.
