Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup oat bran
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup oats
1/2 cup dried blueberries
2 oz almonds chopped
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tbsp flax seed
2 tsp vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Line a baking dish w/ parchment
2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, bran, germ and spices in a large bowl. Stir in the oats, dried blueberries and almonds.
3. Mix ground flax with 3/4 cup warm water, let sit to thicken up.
4. Mix the flax mixture with apple sauce, orange juice and oil and add to the flour mixture. Pour into the baking tray and spread evenly
5. Bake at 400 for 15 - 20 minutes or until slightly browned. Let cool and cut into bars.
