My grandmother was a school cafeteria manager for years. She made the BEST Chess Pie, but the recipe makes 2 at a time. I always take one to work and have the other at home for family. Ingredients:
6 eggs (beaten) |
16 tablespoons melted butter |
2 tablespoons vanilla |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
2 1/2 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons cornmeal |
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
2 frozen unbaked pie crusts |
Directions:
1. 1. Mix together all wet ingredients. 2. 2. Mix together all dry ingredients. 3. 3. Mix both bowls together. 4. 4. Pour into pie crusts. 5. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
