Grandma's Oatmeal Crackers

This is from a little book called Now The Feast.
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 pinch baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients.
2. Roll on cookie sheet and cut into squares.
3. Lightly sprinkle with salt.
4. Bake at 375* for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.
5. Very good! (To roll out, I put waxed paper on the top and roll with rolling pin. Prevents the pin from sticking to the dough.) I guessed at number of servings.
