Grandma's Oatmeal Coconut Squares

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup unsweetened dried shredded coconut
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, add brown sugar, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Add oatmeal and coconut, mix. Let mixture cool then mix in baking powder. Press into greased square baking pan. Bake 1/2 hour. Cut into squares while still hot.
