Grandma Robertson's Ham Sauce

The best sauce for ham. Period.
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
4 eggs
3 tablespoons ground mustard
1 tablespoon flour
12 ounces currant jelly
Directions:
1. Combine brown sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan over low heat, and stir until dissolved.
2. In a small bowl, beat the eggs with a fork.
3. Temper the eggs by whisking in a few tablespoons of the hot vinegar mixture. Then, pour the egg mixture into the saucepan, and whisk to incorporate.
4. In a small dish, combine the ground mustard and flour.
5. Add a few tablespoons of the hot liquid from the saucepan to the mustard and flour mixture. Stir until smooth, and add back to the saucepan. Whisk to combine.
6. Add the currant jelly, and whisk over low heat until dissolved.
7. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
8. Serve immediately, or allow to cool and refrigerate.
9. Serve warm sauce over your favorite ham, and enjoy!
