I make this every year on Christmas time! I make little origami boxes to put them and offer my friends.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup double cream
6 oz dark chocolate, broken into pieces
4 tbsp grand marnier
zest of 1/2 orange
1 1/2 cup dark chocolate to dip, or sifted cocoa powder to roll
Directions:
1. Line a baking sheet with non-stick paper.
2. Put the cream into a pan and bring to boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolate pieces, the Grand Marnier and the orange zest. Stir until really well mixed. Cool and chill for 15 min.
3. Beat the mixture for around 5 min until it gets a consistency like fugde. Shape into small balls and place them on the baking sheet. Freeze for 1 hour.
4. Melt a cup of the dipping chocolate in a bowl in bain-marie. Lift the bowl off the pan and add the remaining chocolate and stir until melted.
5. Using a fork, dip the truffles into the chocolate, then place on the lined baking sheet.
6. Alternatively you can roll the truffles in sifted cocoa powder or grounded nuts.
7. Use your imagination! :)
