Graham Cracker Jell-O Dessert

This is in request to 1970's jell-o recipes. My mother used to make this, and we just loved it with black cherry jell-o - still do! (Prep time does not include chilling time.)
Ingredients:
graham cracker
1 (3 ounce) package jell-o gelatin (any flavor)
1 pint sour cream
3/4 cup sugar
Directions:
1. Prepare Jell-O as directed.
2. Let Jell-O partially set, just enough to be able to spread.
3. Cover bottom of 8 inch square dish with whole graham crackers.
4. Mix sugar and sour cream until blended.
5. Put half of sour cream mixture over graham crackers.
6. Next spread partially set Jell-O over sour cream mixture.
7. Place in refrigerator and let set until firm.
8. Spread rest of sour cream mixture on top of Jell-O.
9. Crush graham crackers and sprinkle on top.
10. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
11. Cut into squares.
