This is one of my comfort food favorites. Sort of Italian and American, a great one pot meal.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound ground turkey
1 large onion, chopped
3 cups beef stock
1 (29-ounce) can tomato sauce
2 (29-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced
5 or 6 sun dried tomatoes, chopped
2 roasted red peppers, chopped
2 tablespoons italian seasoning
2 bay leaves
3 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 cups macaroni or pasta of your chioce
Directions:
1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef and ground turkey over medium-high heat.
2. Add the onions to the pot and cook until tender about 5 minutes.
3. Add the stock, along with the tomato sauce, tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, red pepper garlic, Italian seasoning, bay leaves,
4. worstershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder.
5. Mix until well combined.
6. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
7. Stir in the macaroni, cover and continue cooking for 20 minutes.
8. Remove from heat, discard the bay leaves and allow to cool about 10 minutes more before serving.
