Ingredients:

  • 4 cups gooseberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Prepare pie pastry and put into pie plate. Prehat oven to 350 degrees. Put gooseberries and sugar in pan and mash with potato masher until juicy. Cook on top of stove until hot. Add flour and salt and cook for about 5 minutes more. Turn into pastry lined pan and dot with butter. Add top crust and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 30 to 40 minutes until top crust is browned nicely.
