Gluten Free Coconut Nut Bars

A yummy bar recipe I found on the internet that is similar to pecan pie only with walnuts and shredded coconut.
Ingredients:
1 cup gluten-free flour
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Sift the flour into a medium bowl.
3. Whisk in the ground flax seed.
4. With the back of a fork, blend in the butter.
5. Add the white sugar, continuing to blend with the back of a fork until butter is in tiny pieces.
6. Lightly spray an 8-inch square pan with non-stick spray.
7. Pat the pastry onto the bottom of the pan.
8. In the same bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy.
9. Stir in the walnuts, coconut and brown sugar.
10. Spoon the egg mixture over the pastry.
11. Bake for 30 minutes.
12. When cook, but into 16 squares.
13. If desired, sift confectioners' sugar over the top of the cooled bars.
