A nice and sweet almost dessert side dish.
Ingredients:

2 cans yams, drained
1 c. karo light
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
glazed pecans for garnish (optional)
use what you feel is plenty of glaze for how you like your yams, just increase your ingredients.
Directions:
1. I make mine without brown sugar,cinnamon and salt. I also use the Karo light with a little water in it. I cook my yams by themselves, then slice about a 1/4 inch thick over lap (shingle them) then and coat with the buttery karo mixture and bake. you can garnish with the yams before or after you cook the yams in the oven.

3. Arrange yams in a single layer baking dish. Bake in 325 degree oven for 15 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes. Pour over yams, bake and baste frequently, 15 minutes longer or until glazed.
