Glazed Chocolate Bundt Cake With Whipped Cream

Chocolate lovers, unite!
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 eggs, room temperature
1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
*chocolate glaze
2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts or almonds
3 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp milk
*whipped cream
1 cup double or whipping cream
3 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325F.
2. Grease and flour a 10 inch bundt pan.
3. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa.
4. Set aside.
5. In a large mixing bowl cream butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
6. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
7. Add flour mixture alternately with the milk.
8. Mix well.
9. Pour into bundt pan.
10. Bake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
11. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
12. *Glaze:
13. Melt chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat.
14. Add milk and mix well.
15. Add nuts and mix well.
16. Turn off heat.
17. Drizzle over cake while glaze mix is warm.
18. *Whipped cream
19. Pour cream into bowl.
20. Add sugar and vanilla.
21. Mix for 30 seconds on high speed.
22. Add milk and mix on high speed until whipped cream is light and fluffy.
23. To assemble cake:
24. Glaze cake with chocolate and let it set until glaze is hard and shiny.
25. Stuff inside of bundt cake to top with whipped cream.
26. Decorate top of cake with dollops of whipped cream (see photo).
27. Top with shaved chocolate or chocolate candies.
