Gingerbread Cake With Lemon Sauce

Ingredients:
cake
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon ofbaking ppowder
3/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 teas
1/2 teaspoon ofbaking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2/3 cup of molasses
1/2 cup of dark corn syrup
1/2 cup ofcorn oil
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 cup of warm water
mix first 6 ingredients
add corn syrup, oil ,molasses and egg.beat until smooth.
beat in water.
pour in a greased 9-inch square baking pan at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
cool.
Directions:
1. LEMON SAUCE
2. 1/2 CUP OF SUGAR
3. 2 TABLESPOONS OF CORN STARCH
4. 2/3 CUP OF WATER
5. 1 TABLESPOON OF LEMON PEEL
6. 1/3 CUP OF LEMON JUICE
7. 1 TABLESPOON OF BUTTER
8. MIX CORN STARCH AND SUGAR IN SAUCEPAN.GRADUALLY STIR IN WATER.
9. COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY UNTIL BOILS. BOIL AND STIR FOR 1 MINUTE; REMOVE FROM HEAT. STIR IN LEMON,JUICE AND BUTTER
10. SERVE SAUCE WARM OR COOL OVER GINGERCAKE.
11. REFRIGERATE ANY LEFTOVER SAUCE.
